A useful conversation for your audience

For product and software communities, founder programmes, universities and teams. Each session connects a clear idea to recognisable situations and questions participants can use in their own work. No prior knowledge of the DJF is needed.

For founders and programme leaders

Explore how conviction, customer understanding and evidence influence product decisions, whether participants have an idea, prototype, MVP or live product.

For product teams and professional communities

Challenge familiar discovery habits, examine the quality of the reasoning behind decisions and consider where AI can help.

Choose the question your audience is facing

These topics provide a starting point. We agree the focus and examples around your audience and the purpose of the event.

01 · Product decisions

Building Faster Is Easy. Choosing What to Build Is Harder

When delivery gets easier, choosing what deserves to be built matters even more. Explore how to distinguish activity, confidence and evidence.

Takeaway: Questions that reveal unresolved decisions and what you need to learn next. Discovery continues after the prototype, MVP and launch.

02 · Customer understanding

The Problem Behind Your Solution

A founder's own experience can reveal an opportunity and shape assumptions. Look beyond the proposed solution and immediate symptoms to the progress customers are trying to make.

Takeaway: A way to question the problem, connect customer progress to solution fit and examine assumptions while retaining the conviction to act.

03 · AI product value

AI Features That Users Value and Trust

Start with the customer job and the consequences of the experience. Explore what an AI feature needs to make useful progress and earn appropriate trust.

Takeaway: Practical questions about value, usability, uncertainty and evidence before committing to an AI-enabled solution.

04 · Discovery practice

Building the Right Things in the Age of AI

Consider how AI can support discovery while people remain accountable for its decisions. Connect structured learning with the courage to challenge assumptions and change direction.

Takeaway: A clearer distinction between AI assistance and human judgment, and why the Human Foundation remains essential.

A focused session, shaped with you

  • Gale leads the talk, with narrative, practical examples and space for questions.
  • We agree the audience, topic, timing, format and terms before confirming a session.
  • Remote delivery and in-person sessions can be discussed.

Want time to apply the thinking?

A guest session provides perspective and useful questions. The standalone three-hour introductory workshop gives participants time to examine evidence and work through decisions for their own products.

A talk and a workshop can each be booked independently.
